Sunday Nov 1st Flying

A group of 7 flew Lookout November 1st 2009 in Glenwood Springs Colorado. Thanks to Dan for driving up and for those that retrieved.

We got to launch around 2 PM.

Pine launched 1st off the snow, Tom went 2nd. I launched 3rd with my new Gradient Golden 2 30m. I believe David from Grand Junction was 4th with Alex 5th, Dan Bruce from Steamboat and Dan Slover from Grand Junction Last.

Lookout launch is at 8000 Feet. After my perfect launch out off the slush, I had pretty much a Sled ride until 6700 Feet where I found a Lazy thermal, over the water tanks, that I worked for 15 minutes until I found something stronger that let me climb, At about 7300 feet Alex joined me from above and we both made it up to 7700 Feet. Dan from Steamboat came in low below us and was able to climb up above me to around 7900.

During my 1 hour and 10 minute flight David from grand junction came into my thermal area but then left.

Pine, Tom, David, and Dan from Grand Junction got Sleders.

Alex, Dan Bruce and I all had nice thermal flights.

Tom, Dan, and David went up for seconds.

Beautiful night.

Thanks again for everyones help in making a nice November 1st Flight!
